About Ian Cable
As well as being an experienced and enthusiastic building designer, particular in residential design and barn conversions. Ian has a particular interest in planning issues and thrives on the challenge that ever complex planning issues provide, using his experience to complete planning appraisals, applications and appeal submissions.
Educated at university in Bristol obtaining a Degree and Diploma in Construction Management & Building Design, being awarded the CIOB Certificate of Excellence.
Ian has over 15 years experience within the Construction Industry , and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building. Prior to practicing independently, Ian worked with both local and national contractors procuring and managing domestic, commercial, and government projects up to £5m in value, before concentrating on Architectural Design , initially working with two medium size practices on a wide variety of projects, as a senior designer and design co-ordinator, designing and managing projects for private clients, housing developers, commercial and government clients including Tesco Stores, Local Authority and Defence Estates.
Projects included private houses, Police Stations, Superstore Refurbishments, Bank Refurbishments, Officer Mess refurbishment, Sports Centres, Offices & Hotels.
Since practicing independently Ian has focused on residential development and small scale commercial projects such as seen within the portfolio.
